Book Meme
February 12, 2008Lois tagged me to do the Book meme. Thanks Lois!
Here are the Rules:
1. Pick up the nearest book ( of at least 123 pages).
2. Open the book to page 123.
3. Find the fifth sentence.
4. Post the next three sentences.
5. Tag five people & post a comment here once you post it to your blog, so I can come see.
From Lord of the Flies by William Golding:
“He pulled distastefully at his grey shirt and wondered whether he might undertake the adventure of washing it. Sitting under what seemed an unusual heat, even for this island, Ralph planned his toilet. He would like to have a pair of scissors and cut this hair – he flug the mass back – cut this filthy hair back to half an inch.
Now I’m supposed to tag 5 people:
JC @ castlruins
willthink4wine
genny@The Joy of Life Forever
Jamie @ Duward Discussion
Mishelle @ Secret Agent Mama

Since I’m not much on tagging people, I decided to do the meme here.
From His Dark Materials, Book I, The Golden Compass, by Philip Pullman:
If things had fallen out different, Lyra, you might have been brought up gyptian, because the nurse begged the court to let her have you; but we gyptians got little standing in the law. The court decided you was to be placed in a priory, and so you were, with the Sisters of Obedience at Watlington. You won’t remember.
I was going to tell you that I had already done the Book Meme http://jdurward.blogspot.com/2008/01/book-meme.html and then I got here and found out it is a completely different one.
Thanks this will give me a post for Thursday.
Thanks for humoring me… I need to read that book. It was on my HS reading list (many, many, mnay, many years ago) but I blew it off.
Hey, Teach… I’ve played. Thanks for thinking of me, it was more entertaining than I thought it would be… but I stretched the rules a tiny bit
I already finish the tag ok have a nice day.
